The Boxing Writers Association of America is proud to announce its 95th and 96th Annual Awards Dinner will take place on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at the Edison Ball Room in New York City. The event will start with cocktails at 6:00 PM and dinner and awards at 7:00 PM.
Tickets are $175 for BWAA members and $250 for non-members.
This year's winners include:
A special combined dinner including the winners of the last two years, featuring Floyd Mayweather as the Joe Louis Fighter of the Decade; Canelo Alvarez and Teofimo Lopez Jr., as the Sugar Ray Robinson Fighter of the Year winners for 2019 and 2020; Katie Taylor as the two-time Christy Martin Fighter of the Year; Teofimo Lopez Sr. and Eddy Reynoso as Trainers of the Year; Naoya Inoue - Nonito Donaire and Jose Zepeda - Ivan Baranchyk, as the Muhammad Ali-Joe Frazier Fight of the Year recipients; the Magomed Abdusalamov family and Marc Abrams and Adonis Stevenson, as the Bill Crawford Courage award winners; Bob Canobbio, as the Barney Nagler Long and Meritorious winner; Keith Connolly and David McWater as the Cus D'Amato Manager of the Year winners; Andre Ward, for the Sam Taub Excellence in Broadcasting; Norm Frauenheim and Tim Smith as the Marvin Kohn Good Guy winners; Joe Maxse and Graham Houston as the Fleischer award winners.
